Position Summary
AMS Renewable Energy is seeking a Project Compliance Analyst to support the onboarding, qualification, and ongoing compliance management of vendors and subcontractors across active projects. This role will be responsible for helping ensure third parties meet company, contractual, safety, insurance, and labor compliance requirements before and during project execution. This position is ideal for someone with a business analyst background who is highly organized, analytical, and process driven, with experience managing documentation, tracking compliance requirements, and coordinating across multiple stakeholders. Reporting to the Legal department, this role will work closely with Operations, Safety, Project Management, Procurement, and Accounting to reduce risk, improve visibility, and keep projects moving.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage vendor and subcontractor onboarding from initial intake through approval and activation
- Review and track Certificates of Insurance, endorsements, and related documentation to ensure compliance with contractual and company requirements
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, brokers, and internal teams to cure insurance or onboarding deficiencies
- Support compliance review of subcontractors and vendors for project readiness, including required licenses, registrations, tax forms, and qualification documents
- Track and maintain subcontractor and vendor compliance records, including expiration dates, renewals, and project specific requirements
- Assist in monitoring compliance with safety documentation requirements, including site specific safety plans, OSHA forms where applicable, training records, and other required submissions
- Support labor law compliance tracking, including prevailing wage documentation, certified payroll support, labor notices, and related subcontractor compliance obligations
- Work closely with Legal and cross functional teams to support compliance with subcontract terms, contractual flow down requirements, and internal risk controls
- Maintain compliance trackers, dashboards, and reporting tools to provide visibility into onboarding status, document deficiencies, and upcoming expirations
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc compliance reports for Legal and internal leadership
- Identify process gaps, recurring risk areas, and workflow inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to strengthen compliance procedures
- Organize and maintain accurate electronic records for audits, claims support, legal review, and internal reporting
- Assist with development and standardization of onboarding procedures, compliance checklists, and internal controls
- Support special projects related to contractor compliance, operational process improvement, and risk management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Operations, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
- 2 to 5 years of experience in compliance, vendor management, subcontractor onboarding, legal operations, business analysis, or project support
- Experience in construction, energy, infrastructure, or other project based industries strongly preferred
- Familiarity with vendor and subcontractor onboarding, insurance compliance, safety documentation, and labor compliance requirements preferred
- Working knowledge of prevailing wage or labor law compliance processes is strongly preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret requirements, spot inconsistencies, and escalate issues appropriately
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow through
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate across internal and external stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel and experience maintaining trackers, reports, and compliance logs
- Experience with Procore, Smartsheet, NetSuite, or similar systems is a plus

Reporting Structure
This role reports to the Legal department and works closely with Operations, Safety, Procurement, Project Management, and Accounting.
