About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Solar EPC Site Manager to lead field operations for medium to large‑scale solar construction projects. This role oversees on‑site execution from mobilization through commissioning and is the primary liaison between the field, vendor deliveries and subcontractors. The Site Manager ensures projects are built safely on schedule and in accordance with quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure safe working conditions and enforce company and state safety regulations.
  • Oversee and audit all site safety activities, including orientation, JHAs, electrical safety, LOTO, and incident management.
  • Coordinate and ensure compliance with project safety goals.

Construction & Project Delivery

  • Lead the site team from mobilization through FC and handover.
  • Oversee construction, testing, commissioning, and SCADA hardware installation.
  • Monitor schedule milestones and ensure adherence to EPC contractual obligations.
  • Review IFC drawings, manage inspections, quality programs, and ITP compliance.
  • Help in the resolve of construction challenges and provide input to develop corrective action or recovery plans with the management team.

Team Leadership

  • Provide on-site leadership, coaching, hiring support, performance evaluations, and development for field staff.
  • Foster a collaborative, motivated team environment, maintaining company culture and values.

Company Coordination

  • Serve as the point of contact between the sites appointed and the Project Manager and VP of construction.
  • Work with utilities, RTO/ISO entities for interconnection requirements.
  • Work with engineering, procurement, and construction teams on permitting, logistics, and resource planning.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare daily project update reports, status reports, and Items of Interest for the management team
  • Validate contractor payment applications and change orders.
  • Manage site records, QA/QC documentation, and project close‑out reports.
  • Manage delivery inspections and verification of parts with procurement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager in solar EPC or renewable energy construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety programs and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in project scheduling, quality control, and construction management.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary field teams and push projects to a close.
  • Dependable source of transportation.
  • Strong background in reading and understanding blueprints.

Compensation

$80,000 – $135,000 annually, depending on experience in the solar and energy sector. There is room to grow within the company once proven as a site manager.
